“…We were informed that we would be taken to Moughni Village in Astharak region to see the 17th century church. But there was a wonderful surprise waiting for us, first we were led to Oshakan village to see Mesrop Mashtots’s tomb, then to Ohanavank and afterwards to Holy Mother church and in the end we were taken to Moughni. We very much enjoyed seeing those magnificent architectural monuments of Armenia.
The group consisted of 12 people. We travelled in a cozy car with a very nice and warm social worker and driver, which raised our moods, and soon we made friends with each other.. As the social worker was presenting all the historical data to us, it seemed we had penetrated the depth of past centuries.
At the end of the tour, the clergyman came and told us about St. George church and answered all our questions with great pleasure.
After, we had a picnic. Though it was very hot, we did not feel the heat while we were enjoying cool beverages, watermelon, and of course, delicious coffee. We returned home in joyful spirits keeping the fantastic memory of that beautiful day in our hearts.
We extend our gratefulness to those who had organized that event.
May such kind intentions always be realized.
With best wishes,
